Unforgettable journey with us to the breathtaking Rainbow Mountain, Pallay Puncho!

As the sun rises, our private transportation will whisk you away from your hotel door at 4:00 am, marking the start of an incredible adventure towards the new Rainbow Mountain. Our route will lead us through stunning landscapes towards Puno, where the magic begins.

After a journey of approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, we’ll arrive at the Cusipata River Lodge for a delectable breakfast, energizing you for the day ahead. Continuing our route towards Arequipa, we’ll pass by the picturesque Layo lagoon before beginning our trek to Pallay Poncho.

Prepare for an exhilarating ascent, as we hike through majestic mountains, including the awe-inspiring Apu Taqllo and Pallay Poncho, leaving the tranquil Laguna de Layo below. Upon reaching the summit of Pallay Punchu Mountain, a breathtaking panorama awaits, offering a striking contrast between the vibrant colors of Pallay Puncho and the serene beauty of Layo lagoon. Take your time to capture stunning photographs and relish in the moment before we begin our descent.

After returning to our vehicle, we’ll journey back to Cusco, with opportunities to marvel at the scenic views of Layo lagoon along the way. Arriving back at the Cusipata River Lodge, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch before we conclude our adventure, arriving in Cusco around 6:00 p.m.

With altitudes ranging from 4,000 m to 4,700 m and a distance of 4 km, this challenging trek promises an unforgettable experience. Included in your journey are all transportation in tourist service, professional guidance, entrance tickets, and meals. We recommend packing comfortable clothes, wool caps, waterproof gear, sturdy hiking shoes, and essential items for your safety and comfort.
