Cusco, Machu Picchu, and Sacred Valley Tour
Our non-trekking “Soft Adventure” is designed to maximize excitement within unlimited vacation time in Cusco, the heart of the Inca Empire; we explore narrow lovely cobblestone streets, the impressive Sacsayhuaman fortress, the mysterious carved rock shrine of Qenqo and the delightful Inca Baths at Tambomachay. Later on, at the Sacred Valley of the Incas by the Urubamba River we visit the Native Market at Pisac and the town and ceremonial site of Ollantaytambo, the only Inca village that has been continuously inhabited until our times.

The highlight of our trip is the visit to Machupicchu the legendary “Lost City of the Inca”, so well hidden by the overgrowth that it was never found by the “Conquistadores”, and it was rediscovered by professor Hiram Bingham archaeological finds.

The tour starts at an average of 13:00 to 13:30 hrs with the pick up of your accommodation depending on the proximity to the historic center of the city. The first place to visit will be the imposing Cathedral of Cusco which houses important paintings and sculptures of the “Escuela Cusqueña”, our professional guide will explain the most important points of this place and then go to the famous Coricancha (Temple of the Sun) in which we can appreciate the mixture between Inca constructions (with its perfectly polished stone walls) and Spanish (the church built on the Inca walls).

Our guide will explain the importance of this place before the arrival of the Spaniards and during the colony as this place witnessed one of the greatest battles between the Incas and Spaniards.
We will continue towards the sector of Qenq´o (labyrinth) that takes this name by its ways that give the impression of being inside a labyrinth here the most important place will be an old ceremonial table that owes its importance to that probably this place was the last dwelling or resting place of Pachacuteq.
We will continue in our tourist bus to Puca Pucara (red fortress) which was an important control center for people who wanted to enter the city of Cusco in Inca times, given the importance of the city that was sacred all travelers first had to purify body and soul which they could perform in Tambomachay last place to visit where you can still appreciate the skill and knowledge in hydraulic engineering achieved by the Incas.
The tour culminates in the city of Cusco at an average of 18:30 hrs approximately in your hotel.
