Rafting and kayaking the rivers of Peru will be an unforgettable experience that you will really enjoy. The waters that flows down from the Andes form the mighty rivers of Peru and Chile, an authentic and irresistible challenge for lovers of rafting and kayaking , is an experience that will put you on the edge of risk and danger.

You will feel the vertiginous fury of the waters , the raft quivers, jumps , sifts and you have to row with perseverance and passion, while your heart accelerates its beats and you grit your teeth.

We also have other rivers for rafting in Peru, such as the Urubamba river , that is good for kayaking as well, with class III and IV rapids and that is near Cusco the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. We own a very nice River Camp called Casa Cusi, with facilities such as hot showers, sauna, fire place and an ecological environment, at the shores of the Upper Urubamba river.

The Urubamba river runs from the high Andean ranges down through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, past Machupicchu and into the jungle. It has some exciting white water depending on the section of the river being done and the time of the year. One of our most popular rafting sections during the season is the "Cusipata" section of the river on the Upper Urubamba. There are good class IIl rapids and the water is not contaminated, as unfortunately the Sacred Valley of the Incas sections of the river are.

Urubamba river rafting, only a short distance from Cusco, or Urubamba in the Sacred Valley is only a day trip away. Experience is not neccessary as the whitewater is mild but there is an opportunity for contact with locals and undisturbed views of the scenery.

Urubamba River One & Two Days Trip Itinerary

Day 1: We pick you up at your hotel , after one and a half hours drive we arrive to the put -in at the shores of the Upper Urubamba River, at "CASA CUSI" our private campground. Our professional Rafting Guides will give you a safety talk and provide you with all the proper equipment for Rafting. We would be floating for approximately two and a half hours, running class II and III , introductory type rapids. Afterwards , we arrive to the take-out where our private bus will be waiting for us to take us back to CASA CUSI, where a hot Sauna will be waiting and a full course lunch will be provided. Our return to Cusco should be around 5 in the afternoon. If you are staying for a second day we will spend the night at "CASA CUSI", where we have a thatched roof camping area with comfortable dining place, a sauna and hot tub , hammocks and excellent food. You will fall asleep under the whisper of the river.

Day 2:After a relaxing Sauna and a good night sleep , we get up for a healthy breakfast and drive up river to the CHUQUICAHUANA (CHUQUI) section of the river, where we will be running class III plus & IV rapids . We will include some extra safety such as a Kayaker or a Cataraft. After about 2 and a half hours , we arrive back to "CASA CUSI", where a Bar B Q meal will be served. Afterwards we drive back to Cusco arriving in the late afternoon.
